In a groundbreaking move towards revolutionizing urban mobility, Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has inked two Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) during the Dubai International Project Management Forum (DIPMF). The first MoU explores the development potential of the Floc Duo Rail system, an avant-garde double-track transportation system designed for swift and efficient movement of units within urban landscapes. The second MoU delves into the prospects of creating a rail bus system operating on a solar-panel-equipped bridge, generating electricity for its operations.
The prestigious partnerships were established with industry-leading companies specializing in transportation solutions with zero emissions – Urban-Mass Company from the UK and RAIL BUS Inc. from the US. Abdul Mohsen Kalbat, CEO of the Rail Agency, RTA, and Ricky Sandhu, Founder and CEO of Urban Mass, signed the first MoU, while Dr. Hatem Al-Taher Ibrahim, Director of Business Development, signed on behalf of RAIL BUS Inc.
Abdul Mohsen Kalbat emphasized the significance of these MoUs within RTA's strategic plans to adopt cutting-edge practices, highlighting the innovative "Floc Duo Rail" system's features.
