Rolls-Royce has once again proven the limitless possibilities of its Bespoke division with the introduction of the Spectre Bailey, a one-of-one commission celebrating the life of Bailey, a Labrador-Golden Retriever mix cherished by a long-standing client couple in the United States.
This enchanting creation is more than a car; it is a deeply personal tribute to companionship and loyalty, transformed into timeless craftsmanship.
A Bespoke Story of Love and Loyalty
The commissioning clients, lifelong car enthusiasts and animal lovers, wanted their Rolls-Royce Spectre to become a living memory of Bailey. Working hand-in-hand with the Rolls-Royce Bespoke Collective, their vision was translated into remarkable design features that merge elegance with heartfelt storytelling.
From Bailey’s paw prints to his lifelike portrait, every detail has been lovingly curated to embody joy, playfulness, and enduring connection.
A Paint Finish with Character
The Spectre Bailey wears a specially created two-tone exterior finish. The main body is coated in Beautiful Bailey, a warm shade inspired by the golden tones of Bailey’s fur, while the upper section gleams in Crystal Fusion, an iridescent paint that shimmers with changing light.
Completing the exterior is a hand-painted Coachline featuring Bailey’s actual paw print in Rose Gold, paired with a matching Rose Gold Spirit of Ecstasy—a subtle, yet powerful tribute visible from every angle.
Interior: Crafted from Nose to Tail
Step inside, and the emotional narrative continues. The cabin features Moccasin and Crème Light leather, with accents in Dark Spice and Casden Tan, reflecting Bailey’s natural fur shades. Surfaces are finished with Royal Walnut veneer, polished to a high gloss.
The centrepiece is an extraordinary marquetry portrait of Bailey on the rear waterfall between the seats. This masterpiece took over four months to complete, combining more than 180 individual pieces of veneer. Each veneer was carefully selected for its natural hue, tone, and grain direction—ensuring a lifelike warmth. Even Bailey’s tongue required veneers never before used by Rolls-Royce, showcasing the unmatched creativity of the Bespoke Collective.
Additional marquetry details include a paw print on the passenger dashboard, as well as engraved Rose Gold treadplates featuring Bailey’s unique paw motif—an intimate reminder revealed each time the door opens.
