Porsche Meets LEGO® Technic™: An Exciting Summer Holiday Programme at the Porsche Museum

The long summer holidays are the perfect time for children to embark on new adventures and make unforgettable memories. For many years, the Porsche Museum has offered children an exceptional holiday experience with the Porsche 4Kids summer programme. This year, a special highlight awaits: Porsche meets LEGO®. To celebrate the latest LEGO Technic GT4 e-Performance model, the programme from 30 July to 18 August 2024 is dedicated to this all-electric racing car. “We give the kids the opportunity to delve into the fascinating world of Porsche and LEGO, test the GT4 e-Performance as LEGO racing drivers, and play an active role themselves,” says Jenny Simchen, responsible for the Porsche 4Kids programme at the museum.

Fun and Games with the Porsche GT4 e-Performance in Big and Small Formats

A variety of interactive stations await children from 7 years old, focusing on the all-electric GT4 e-Performance prototype and its LEGO counterparts. "The Porsche GT4 e-Performance marks another highlight of our longstanding collaboration with LEGO. With it, we are creating for our youngest fans the combination of pioneering technology and the experience factor – just like our real models," says Deniz Keskin, Head of Brand Management and Partnerships at Porsche AG.

Children can participate in an engaging quiz to learn more about the big and small racing cars. A large racetrack allows all enthusiasts to test the remote-controlled LEGO Technic model and immerse themselves in an interactive driving experience. At LEGO Play Tables, kids can build their own LEGO creations, and a photo station lets them pose as LEGO mini-figures. They are rewarded with a unique LEGO brick exclusive to the Porsche Museum, available while supplies last. This free holiday activity runs from 30 July to 18 August 2024 in the exhibition area. It is recommended to register online at least three days before visiting between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. via Porsche Ticketing (see Experience Programs). If you don’t register in advance, you can join a waiting list at the museum.

The Schwabenstein 2x4 e.V. club will also contribute to the LEGO activity area by showcasing unique LEGO models and landscapes that are not for sale and can only be seen in the museum.

Highlights: Porsche ? LEGO Special Event on 6 August 2024

All grown-up LEGO fans should mark their calendars for the Special Event on 6 August 2024. From 6.30 p.m., Porsche GT4 e-developer Björn Förster and LEGO designers Ann Karring and Aurelien Rouffiange will host an event in a relaxed atmosphere, discussing their exciting jobs and their collaboration on the LEGO model. They will present the LEGO Technic GT4 e-Performance, including a driving demonstration on a small racetrack in the Porsche Museum. Joining them will be racing driver Jörg Bergmeister, who will share his experiences on the racetrack. Bergmeister is one of the most successful sports car drivers globally and one of the longest-serving Porsche works drivers. After the event, visitors can explore the museum and activity area exclusively outside regular opening hours.

The museum shop will have extended opening hours, providing an opportunity to browse through the LEGO Porsche product range and take home a special souvenir. Event tickets cost 29 euros per person and include parking in the museum’s underground car park. Tickets are available online at the museum's website: Porsche Ticketing (see Experience Programs).

Tom Targa and Tina Turbo Visit the Museum

For holidays full of adventure, younger visitors can look forward to meeting Tom Targa and Tina Turbo as walking acts in the museum on the weekends of 3/4 and 10/11 August 2024. The Porsche mascots will stroll through the museum every hour on the hour between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., offering plenty of opportunities for souvenir photos, high fives, and all kinds of fun.

The Porsche Museum is open Tuesday to Sunday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Children up to and including the age of 14 have free admission when accompanied by an adult.
