Porsche Doubles the Size of the Model Range for the All-Electric Macan
Porsche has taken a significant step in its electric vehicle lineup by expanding the model range of the all-electric Macan. The new Porsche Macan with rear-wheel drive is now available as the entry-level option to this all-electric SUV series, while the Macan 4S positions itself in the upper performance spectrum.
Rear-Wheel-Drive Macan: High Efficiency and Range
The new rear-wheel-drive Macan focuses on maximizing efficiency and range. Equipped with a high-voltage battery of 100 kWh, this model gets its energy from a rear-axle motor similar to the one used in the Macan 4. This motor provides an output of 250 kW (340 PS) and utilizes a 480-amp pulse inverter with silicon carbide (SiC) for higher efficiency. This configuration allows the Macan to achieve up to 265 kW (360 PS) of overboost power and a maximum torque of 563 Nm, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.7 seconds with a top speed of 220 km/h. Without all-wheel drive, the Macan is 110 kilograms lighter than the Macan 4, resulting in a combined WLTP range of up to 641 km.
Macan 4S: Performance and Advanced Technology
The Macan 4S features advanced electric motors and comes with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) as standard. This model includes a rear-axle motor with a 600-amp SiC pulse inverter and a front-axle motor, delivering a system output of 330 kW (448 PS) with a short power overboost to 380 kW (516 PS). The Macan 4S achieves a maximum torque of 820 Nm, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds and reaching a top speed of 240 km/h. The combined WLTP range for the Macan 4S is up to 606 km.
Advanced Features and Design
Both new Macan models embody the timeless design of the second-generation Macan, featuring aerodynamics optimized for range (cw = 0.25). The 800-volt architecture of the Premium Platform Electric (PPE) allows for a DC charging capacity of up to 270 kW, enabling the high-voltage battery to charge from 10 to 80 percent within approximately 21 minutes at suitable fast-charging stations.
A new exterior color, Slate Grey Neo, and a 20-inch Macan S wheel have been added to the options available for all Macan models. Additionally, a new off-road design package enhances the Macan's capability on rough terrains and steep inclines. The off-road design package is available in two colors: Vesuvius Grey and the vehicle's exterior color, and includes 21-inch off-road design wheels in Vesuvius Grey.
Porsche Driver Experience
With the electrification of the Macan, Porsche has introduced a new display and control system called the Porsche Driver Experience. This system includes a mix of digital and analogue elements, such as a 12.6-inch curved instrument cluster, a 10.9-inch passenger display, a head-up display with augmented reality, and ambient lighting with a communication light. The new Themes app allows users to adjust the display and ambient lighting colors to match the exterior color of the vehicle.

The new Porsche Macan models are now available for order and will be delivered to customers in the second half of the year.
