The IONIQ 6 not only excelled in the Edmunds EV Efficiency Test but also showcased impressive average charging power, securing its position at the top of the inaugural Edmunds EV Charging Test leaderboard. Drivers of the IONIQ 6 can enjoy quicker and more efficient charging experience, spending less time parked at charger compared to any other vehicle.
The IONIQ 6 Limited RWD model, with its 77.4 kWh battery pack, set new standard in EV charging. In Edmunds' testing, it added 100 miles in average time of 6 mins and 54 secs, equivalent to an impressive 868 miles per charging hour. Notably, no other EV tested, including models from renowned brands like Tesla and Porsche and Mercedes-Benz, could break the 7 minute barrier.
In the miles per charging hour measurement, the IONIQ 6 Limited RWD outpaced the second-place finisher by remarkable 99 miles. Even the IONIQ 6 All Wheel Drive (AWD) model secured third place with 764 miles per charging hour, adding 100 miles in an average time of 7 mins and 51 secs.
