Studies conducted by the University of Lincoln have shown that dogs exhibit less restless behavior when traveling in electric cars. With this in mind, Genesis has crafted the Genesis X Dog concept to offer pooches a relaxing space that complements the refined ride of the Electrified GV70. The module includes a range of exclusive equipment and accessories, perfectly matching the luxurious interior of the SUV.
The Genesis X Dog features bespoke amenities such as a Genesis-branded heated dog cushion, built-in shower, wireless Bluetooth audio system, pull-out ramp, and seamless push-to-open storage compartments with 230V plug sockets. A personalized leather dog collar and safety harness ensure that your dog remains safe and secure during travel.
The module is crafted with meticulous attention to detail, featuring quilted vegan leather sidewalls that match the Electrified GV70's interior, non-slip surfaces, and a safety locking mechanism with two straps to prevent movement during transit. The lightweight, pull-out ramp, made from aluminum and carbon fiber telescopic tubes, allows easy access to the boot and adapts to various terrains.
Innovative Features for Ultimate Convenience
The Genesis X Dog includes a six-litre pressurized water tank linked to a shower attachment, discreetly stored within the module, allowing dogs to be washed anywhere, anytime. This is paired with an electric hairdryer designed to provide optimal airflow for dogs, reducing drying time. Both features are stored in waterproof pouches and can be easily used thanks to the car’s V2L (vehicle-to-load) capabilities, which support a 3.7 kW power supply for various electric appliances.
Interior lighting in a choice of 100 colors surrounds the bed, creating a calming environment for dogs. Blue and violet tones, recommended for their calming effects, help reduce stress levels during travel. The Genesis X Dog concept will be part of an immersive experience across select UK Genesis Studios. It will be on display at the Genesis Studio Battersea from May 9 to 21 and then at the Genesis Studio Westfield from May 22 to June 5.
