In a separate film shoot, British presenter Richard Hammond used the prototype to tow a vintage car weighing over two tonnes. The Cayenne Electric handled the load with ease, demonstrating Porsche’s commitment to preserving the Cayenne’s practical DNA.
The Cayenne Electric is engineered to offer towing capacities up to 3.5 tonnes, on par with its combustion-engined siblings. This makes it one of the few fully electric vehicles in the world capable of such heavy-duty performance.
"Our customers have always appreciated the Cayenne's utility value. That's why we didn’t compromise when developing the electric version," Schätzle added.
