Al Habtoor Motors and JBM Electric Vehicles Forge Strategic Partnership to Drive E-Mobility in the UAE
Dubai, UAE, 22nd September 2025 – In a landmark move that underlines the UAE’s commitment to sustainable transport and clean energy, Al Habtoor Motors, one of the nation’s leading automobile distributors, has entered into a strategic partnership with JBM Electric Vehicles (P) Ltd., one of the world’s largest electric bus manufacturers and EV ecosystem players. Together, the two companies will accelerate the deployment of next-generation electric buses across the UAE.
The agreement was formalized during an official signing ceremony, attended by senior leaders from both organizations. Under this partnership, Al Habtoor Motors will serve as the exclusive importer and distributor of JBM’s electric buses in the UAE, providing nationwide coverage, service infrastructure, and customer support.
Supporting the UAE’s Net Zero by 2050 Strategy
The collaboration comes at a crucial time as the UAE intensifies its Net Zero by 2050 Strategic Initiative. By bringing JBM’s cutting-edge e-bus technology to the region, the companies aim to reduce emissions, lower operating costs, improve passenger comfort, and modernize the public transport network.
JBM Electric Vehicles is recognized globally for its pioneering role in clean mobility. The company operates one of the world’s largest integrated EV manufacturing facilities in India, with an annual capacity of 20,000 electric buses. Its e-buses have already covered more than 200 million kilometers, served over 1 billion passengers, and saved 350 million liters of diesel, thereby preventing more than 1 billion kilograms of CO? emissions.
Looking ahead, JBM has pledged that its electric buses will clock 3 billion kilometers globally within the next three years.
